CYCLE RACE
TE AWAMUTU TO NGUTUNUI (Special to Times) TE AWAMITU, Wednesday. The To Awamutu Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club held a race over a 17-mile-course last Saturday from Victoria Park to Ngutunui. The occasion was a special one at the invitation of the Ngutunui settlers, who entertained the riders at the conclusion of the event. a very close finish, resulted in T. r>alziel leading J. A. Robertson across the line by two seconds, both being scratch men. The winner also gained the- fastest time with 49m 15s, Robertson being 2s behind. Third place was gained by L. McAlpine and B. Irwin’s time ol 53m 35s was third fastest.
