LOSS TO SOCIETY
SIR WILLIAM HUNT’S DEATH (Special to Times.) DUNEDIN, Tuesday At a meeting of the executive of the council of the Plunkct Society this morning the death of Sir William Hunt was referred to with deep regret. The executive placed on record its appreciation ol' the distinguished services that Sir William had given to the society, and its sense of irreparable loss in his passing. As a member of the advisory board of the society and chairman "of the Karitane Products Society, Sir William gave un,stinted service to the cause of mother and child. By this generous gift of his home at Bainfield. Waikiwi, lie made it possible for the (Invercargill branch to establish a Karitane hospital to serve Southland. The sympathy of the society is extended to the widow and family in their bereavement.
