HAPPY SOCIAL
POLICE SOCIAL CLUB A very Jolly time was spent recently when the women’s branch of the Police Social Club held its first social evening in the Masonic Hall. Music for dancing was supplied by Mr W. Harrison, extras being played by Miss Hawke and Mr J. Hedley. Items were contributed during the evening by the following:—Vocal solo, Mrs K. Henry; elocutionary item, Miss Patty Bourke; vocal solo, Mr G. Wheeler; piano accordion solo, Mr J. Hedley; vocal solo, Mr H. M©dusky. A novelty dance was won by Miss B. Lambert and partner, and the winners in the card tournament were Mrs Quigley and Mr H. Huntley. Among those present were:— Mesdames G. 11. Lambert, A. J. White, H. Huntley, A. Gudsell, J. Hayes, A. Findlater, J. Richardson, H. Paton, 11. M. Kirby, C. Carson, R. O'Shaughnessey, D. Calder, C. Clifford, C. Kimberley, Ray Henry, W. E. Bourke, J. C. O’Connor, Bartlett, M. Quigley, K. Henry, H. McClusky, G. Coldwell, Jane and Wallace.
Misses Betty Lambert, G. McDonald, Joan Page, Ruth Page, Eileen Richards, R. Clifford, J. Burrett, O. Silcock, Patty Bourke, Carkeck and Hawke.
