EXCESS CONTINUES
SAVINGS BANK WITHDRAWALS The returns for the Post Office Savings Bank for July show decreases in both deposits and withdrawals as compared with the previous month, reports the Government Statistician. Deposits in July totalled £2,086,344 and withdrawals £2.432,849, comparative figures for June being £2.363.406 and £2,847.796 for deposits and withdrawals respectively. The excess of withdrawals, though less than in any month since January, still continues, the July excess being £346,505.
