VARIED PROGRAMME

BCOTB BAND CONCERT A large audience was present at the Frankton Town Hall last evening when a concert was presented by the Hamilton Scots Pipe Band. There was a wide variety of items, which were thoroughly enjoyed. Part of the proceeds are to be devoted to the comfort of men at the Hopu Hopu camp. The programme was as follows: Messrs F. Bolton, A. Bruntwood and W. Dale (bagpipe selection). Misses J. Rowe and J. Owens (songs), Misses P. Bluett and A. Bluett (highland dancing), Mr J. Henderson (ventriloquism and magic), two band members ( humour), Hamilton Performers’ Club members (sketches), Miss .T. Lowe (<lance), B. Whatu and his Hawaiian quartette, Mahana poi team (Maori dances), Mr G. Moffat (musical saw), Miss Shirley Burton (elocution). Misses J. Laurenson and B. Mangnall (tap dance), Miss J. Foulds (Russian dance), Miss T. Molesworth (pianoaccordeon, accompanied by Mr Ball, mandolin), Mr D. Reid (humour). Mr S. Franks was master of ceremonies and the accompanists were Miss M. Laurenson and Messrs Harris and A. W. Linham.
