HAMILTON CLUB’S PLAN " IMPORTANT DECISION MADE At a meeting of the Hamilton Jersey Club this week members made the In portent decision to Inaugurate a Waikato Jersey OaksSuch a competition should do much for the advancement of the breed and It speaks well for the enthusiasm of the club that It haa planned suoh a progressive aotlon. The success of the Jersey Oaks In the Taranaki and Manawatu districts Is wall known, but Waikato breeders are hoping that the Waikato competition will become the most important in the Dominion. 'Nominations for the Wafkato Oaks vvili close on Marcli 15 with the nomination fee of 10s, while tho second payment of £1 Is will he made when the entries are a year old and the linal payment of £2 2s at two years. Ail calves will have to he tattooed at the time of nomination. To make complete arrangements for the "Oaks” the following sub-commit-tee has been appointed:—Messrs D. D. Wilson (president of the club), J. Bones, W. T. Luxton, W. H. Miers, and the secretary. Mr W. L. Ranstead.
