NEW HAMILTON WEST SCHOOL BUILDING TO COST OVER £15,000 Work on the erection of the new Hamilton West Primary School on the Richmond Estate was begun yesterday by the contractor, Mr J. Sanderson, of Papatoetoe. The contract price is in excess of £15,000 for a ten-roomed building. All class rooms will have a northerly aspect and the design of the rooms is such that maximum benefit can be obtained from sunshine and fresh air. The site has been re-surveyed and the contractor is busy placing materials on the spot preparatory to commencing the building. In the original contract the budding was to have been completed in aoout three mouths, but under present conditions it is not certain that the wprk will be completed in this time.
