VICTORIA ST., HAMILTON , thought franks singlet 1* WHITE - BUT JUST LOO « * AS * aT ,t against d/cks pem- WASHED ONE * V Are you sure your whites are just as white as they could be? True, they’re carefully washed, and they look white. But just put them against a white garment washed with Persil. Why! The difference is amazing. How can that be? It is simply this: Persil’s oxygen-charged suds get out every specie of dirt and every trace of stain. It’s by washing things so much cleaner that Persil gets them whiter. That’s why Persil sets the only true standard of whileness in washing. And don't forget — Persit's gentle cleansing action makes things last longer. You’ll wonder why you were satisfied with anything else when you see PERSIL whiteness PERSIL— THE AMAZING OXYGEN WASHER PERSIL (N.Z.) LIMITED 51.3M.17NZ
Tulips will last longer if tissue paper is wrapped round their’stalks before being placed in a vase—preferably an opaque one. Lilac and early roses have woody steins and will last better if the stalks are peeled at the end so that they are free to absorb the water. They are better, too, if they are placed in deep bowls, and supported by glass blocks.
