PLIGHT OF REFUGEES
EVACUATION OF AAOMEN LONG AND TRYING JOURNEY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copjrrlftt). (•Received Sept. 18, 11.30 a.m.) BRUSSELS, Sept. 17 Ail families at Aachen have been Instructed to evacuate. Only the aged and infirm were allowed to travel by train or car. Others, Including children over 12 years of age and women without children, must walk the journey to Cologne, which will take three day#. Each person must carry his own food* and a maximum of 331bs of luggage. All other property must be abandoned.
The inhabitants are warned that efforts to escape to Belgium or Holland would result In the confiscation of ail their possessions.
