USE OF £4,000,000 CREDIT BYBTEM IN WORKING ORDER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday Referring in the House of Representatives this afternoon to United Kingdom export credits, the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, said the New Zealand Government's portion of the credit arrangements had been working satisfactorily for some time. United Kingdom exporters of goods to New Zealand were now able to take full advantage of the £4,000,000 credit which had been provided. “ Under the arrangements made,” Mr Nash said, “ an importer of goods from the United Kingdom—(a) Can rely upon making overseas remittances at specified times, and (b) is able to protect himself against exchange variations by buying sterling forward at normal for remittances."
