NATIONAL SHOW
DISPLAY OF DAFFODILS RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED (By Telegraph.—press Association) 'HASTINGS, Friday There were record entries in the National Daffodil Show. In the open national classes A. Gibson won the Trevena trophy and <H. J. Poole won the other four classes. In the open New Zealand seedling section W. E. Weightman won all eight classes, and in the single bloom section A. Gibson, H. J. Poole and W. E. Weightman shared the honours. In the national amateur class Mrs J. Mercer won the championship medal. The champion of champions was W. E. Weightman’s incomparabilis. Other championship winners were W. Danby end H. J. Poole. Entries came from all parts of the North Island.
