PRISON ESCAPE
FURTHER TERM IMPOSED (Special to Times) TAUMARUNUI, Saturday Cyril James Marbin-Loverson was charged in Taumarunui yesterday with escaping from prison while serving a sentence at Waikune. He escaped on August 23, and made his way to Taranaki, where he was apprehended while working on a farm. Prisoner, who said his reason for escaping was that he wanted a change from Waikune, was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment with hard labour, to be served at the expiry of his present term. It was stated that he had escaped on a former occasion.
