IBBUCB OF PETROL OOUPONB 1300 MOTORISTS SUPPLIED Yesterday when petrol coupons connected with the supply of 10 gallons a month to the owners of private cars were issued for the first time, 1300 motorists were supplied at the Hamilton office in Knox Street, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Despite the heavy demand for coupons the large staff at ttie depot was easily able to cope with the work. Although not as busy as yesterday, the office again handled a large number of applications today. It will remain 8 o'clock tonight. Land For Public Bchool A proclamation in this week’s Gazette refers lo the taking under the Public Works Act of land aggregating 1u acres 0 roods 9.1 perches, situated in Cambridge East, for the purposes of a public school. The land is to be vested in the Auckland Education Board.
