WEDDING
HORGAN—TAYLOR EMBOSSED SATIN GOWN A charming wedding took place at The Church oi Uur Lady of the Rosary, Hamilton, on Saturday, August 12, when Phoebe Minnie, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs 11. E. Taylor, of Frankton Junction, was married to Leslie Patrick, third son of Mr and Mrs G. D. Ilorgan, of Palmerston North, Father Doherty, of Tc Arolia, performed the ceremony, with nutial mass and blessing. Mr J. Batlersby presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a beautiful gown of white embossed satin, cut on slimfitting lines, the bodice being perfectly plain with the new erect neckline and light-fitting sleeves, finishing in points over the hands. The gracefully Hared skirt fell into a very long train, which was caught in three places with sprays of orange blossom, forming a pretty scalloped effect. A matching spray of orange blossom was worn at the neck. Her beautifully embroidered tulle veil, which was lent by Mrs D. Brosnan, of Taihape, was held in place by a halo of orange blossom, and formed a second train. The bride carried a sheaf of lilies and maidenhair fern. She entered the church wearing the traditional blue cloak of the Children of Mary, which was removed by Miss N. Lynch, of the Helens villc Sodality, of which the bride was a former member. The Attendants In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Joyce Shirley and Miss Rose Lonner, Marlon, both wearing dresses of daffodil taffeta, fashioned with square-necked bodices, lull skirts, and puff sleeves. Mittens to match and silver girdles were worn. Shoulder veils of daffodil tulle were held in place by halos of siver eaves. The tiny flower girl, .Miss Dawn Ilorgan, sister of the bridegroom, wore a miniature of the bridesmaids’ frocks and a Juliet cap. Each carried a bouquet of white and lemon llowers, with daffodil streamers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr 11. Taylor, brother of the bride, as best man, and Mr R. Ilorgan, Marton, brother of the bridegroom, as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at Glover’s Hall, Frankton Junction, where the guests were received by Mrs Taylor, who was wearing a smart London fan ensemble, a matching hat and fox furs. She carried a bouquet of autumn-shaded flowers. The bridegroom’s mother wore a smart black tailored costume and hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of violets and cyclamen. The bride travelled in a navy pin striped tailored costume and navy hat, and matching accessories. lMi* and Mrs Ilorgan will make their home at Koputuroa.
