ELECTION OF OFFICERS (Special to Times) HUNTLY, Thursday The president. .Mr A. H. Berry, presided over a rair attendance at the annual meeiing of the lluntly Tennis Club. The report on the past season's activities, submitted by the secretary. Mr F. Wilkinson. showed that the club's finances were in a sound position, although the accounts for the year showed an excess of expenditure over income of some £2b. lhe following officers were elected; Patron, Mr w. c. f'.. George; president, Mr a. it. Berry: vice-presidents. Messrs J. A. Malcolm and g. Collins: secretary. Mr F. Wilkinson; treasurer. Mr D. Parsons: auditor, Mr K. V. Daidy; committee, Mesdames a. ii. Berry, K. fcmrnerson, Mi.hm*.- P. smith. .1. Meskert. K. HelTron, (J. Knapper. s. Bryant. Messrs T. Thomas, H. Chisholm. L. Powell, M. FiSher, l. G. peach; delegates to Lower Waikato Tennis Association. Messrs F. Wilkinson. \. 11. Merry a.ut T. Thomas; ladder and handicap committee. Messrs F. Wilkimon and g. CoiLn-. Me-dames k. Kmmerson, D. .Mackenzie. Miss J. lleskett; cjub caplain, Mr G. Collins. Eighteen new members were elected. It was decided that lhe dub's opening’ day be held October 1 and that surrounding- club-, including Matamata. Thames and Cambridge be invited to attend.
