SCHOOL OF MINES PUPILS REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE (Times Special Reporter) NG A RUAW AH lA, Wednesday. In a letter requesting a donation of £lO from the Ragi'an County Council the secretary of the liuntly School of Mines stated that the number of pupils at the school this year was the greatest on record. On the motion of the county chairman, Mr 11. W. Wilson, it was decided to make the usual donation of £5 for the ensuing year. The Auckland Society for Deaf Children asked for the assistance of the council in carrying out its work in the province. “This type of work is provided for under the Social Security Act,” said Mr Wilson. He moved that the letter be received. The motion was carried.
