WESTFIELD STOCK SALE OX BEEF AGAIN IN DEMAND (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday The weekly stock sale of Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, was held a't Westfield today when the yarding totalled 107 head, comprising 45 steers and 62 cows and heifers. The yarding last week was 100 head. The qualify of the ox beef was again first-class and, with a keen demand prevailing, values showed a decided rise. For a small offering of cow and heifer beef the demand was also keen and quotations showed a sharp rise on last week’s rates. No extra heavy bullocks were yarded.
