GOLF COMPETITIONS
DECIDED AT LAST LONG-DRAWN SEMI-FINAL (By Telegraph.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday A decision has at last been readied in the semi-final of the Foursomes Challenge Cup competition at the Waitikiri bourse, in which C. Deyell and J. W. Jackson and M. R. Blanc and C. Cliff have tied on five previous occasions. Under ideal conditions to-day Deyell and Jackson succeeded in securing a 2 and 1 victory. These pairs have been playing at intervals for the past eight or nine weeks and in tieing five times are believed to have established a world's record. The other semi-final was decided five weeks aso.
