BPECIAL FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Walkato-Thames Valley Is as follows: — General situation: An anticyclone is centred to the northeast of New Zealand and a vigorous depression is approaching rrom the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Freshening northwesterly winds; weather fair at first, but cloud increasing and scattered rain developing later; temperatures mild; seas becoming rough on the east coast, moderate on the west.
