SOUTH AUCKLAND TITLE TAYTLOR MEETS SECCOMBE HANDICAP SEMI-FINALS The South Auckland golf championship semi-finals were played at the St. Andrews links to?day under ideal conditions. The matches resulted in comfortable wins for G. L. Taylor and G. Seccombe, who met In the final this afternoon. Taylor in his match with -Babbage was out in 39 and finished with a medal score of 75. It was a creditable performance and made his opponent’s task a difficult one. Seccombe also played good golf to return 74. Results were as follows: Championship Play Semi-finals:—G. L. Taylor beat H. G. Babbage. 6 and 5; G. Seccombe beat J. G. Ferguson, 3 and 4. St. Andrew’s Handicap Semi-finals: R. B. Seabrook beat J. Ruisson, 6 and 5; J. G. Tapper beat A. Mareroft. 3 and 2. In the morning Stableford bogey the best scores were: A. Walker 38, G. Seccombe 38. R. B. Seabrook 38. F. Roach 37. G. L. Taylor 37. F. Mathers 37. A. Walker was the winner on the count back.
