Norman, who are retiring to reside in Auckland, after living in the district for 22 years. Mr and Mrs Norman are extremely popular, and their departure is sincerely regretted by their many friends. A programme of items, games and speeches filled the evening, violin solos and songs being given by Miss A. Tripp, and recitations by Miss L. Bone. Community singing was also enjoyed. Kulogistic speeches were tendered to Mr and Mrs Norman, testifying to their worth as workers and Iriends, by Mr W. B. Beer, Mr R. Feisst. the Rev. G. H. Goodman, and Mr C. Wiseman, the latter presenting the guests-of-honour with a handsome chiming clock. Mr Norman suitably replied.
