LUXURY ON THE ROAD
MODERN COMFORTABLE CARAVANS The past, ten years has seen many changes, but none so great perhaps, as the changes that have taken place in the comfort of camping. To-day, with the roads in the . first-class condition that is generally found on our main highways, and modern cars with abundance of power, the caravan has become increasingly po*pular. No more looking for suitable pitching places, or working, sometimes in the dark, fixing tent poles and ropes, etc. With the modern camper it is a matter of minutes from the time they stop to the time they have a comfortable “ bach ” ready for occupation. An idea of the luxury and comfort that can be built into a caravan is demonstrated by the exhibit in the motor olympia of a modern trailer. Built to sleep four, each bed folding up into a couch in the day time, it is an ideal family caravan. Spacious cupboards and wardrobes, cooker, sink, folding table, electric light, and windows, are a few built-in facilities that make for real home comfort. It is wired lor either a 230-volt or G-volt system and has twin-jacks built-in at the rear, and a jacking device in the front enabling the whole caravan to be jacked clear of the ground. A feature of this travelling home is the special caravan mattresses with which it is equipped.
The caravan is exhibited and was built by Hamilton Motor Bodies, Ltd., of Barton Street, who are specialists in motor body building, and who follow 7 their high standard of work in the construction of these caravans. They also stock all component parts for caravan builders, including the special mattresses, sinks, hinges, door and cupboard handles, aluminium ware and electrical fittings. 1 our visit to the show would not oe complete unless you saw this modern luxurious caravan. 13G
