A CONCRETE IMPRESSION
Circles—squares—length—breadth. Again—solidity—fine workmanship—beauty of line—also rugcredness.- This Is the impression received on approaching a stall at the Winter Show near to the Bledisloe Hall. A closer view reveals utility—every article ready to play its part and sustain the hard knocks that will come its way. What are these articles that so prominently catch the eye—even of the casual visitor ? Order reigns on this stand. There Is no undue elaboration, no ornamentation—just plain facts. Obviously the manufacturers have turned out eo.»d Hitncrs—ihey arc unrivalled—thov are quietly and unostentatiously ‘serviceable. Circles—good plain concrete t r oughs: squares —the acme of finish in washing tubs also of smooth, clean concrete: length —tall fireplaces and chimneys—lons: fencing posts: breadth—boilers stand in all their stoutness yet with, beauty of line—look at that one named “Steelcpete." Could anything nicer be made ? Beauty of line—see the splendid finish on all these goods—yet while good to look at they are serviceable—able to stand up to their work for years. Tt is evident the makers do their part well—the models are not specially made for the Wirier Fhow—they come from stock. You can buy their counterparts any rime and know you will always purchase a dependable product. Then there is the new electric washine boiler—it takes the eye at once—perhaps by flip contrast between enamel and concrete, it also is ion per cent, serviceable—watch it In action. Whose stall Is this where thought has been expended with paramount success ? Whose goods are these that stand so prominently ami proudly ? They are Firth's.
