HAMMOND MAKES 302 COUNTY CHAMPIONBHIPS MANY GOOD PERFORMANCES (United Press A sen.—Elec. Tel. CopyrteUt) (Received June 3. 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, June 2. There were many fine performances in the English County cricket championships which were continued week, the outstanding feature being the treble century scored by W. R. Hammond, captain of England's Test team. Hammond has been showing excellent form this season. A. Squires for Surrey and H. Dyson, of Glamorgan, secured two good batting doubles. E. Davies, of Glamorgan, scored 287 undefeated, this being in the same match as the one ln which Hammond made his big score. J. Jddon, G. Dyson, J. Hardstaff and L. Hutton were other prominent playe *s who were among the runs. W. Uopsuti, the Derby fast bowler, secured two good bowling averages, while W. E. Bowes, of Yorkshire, al**u a fast bowler, took twelve wickets against Warwickshire. E. R. Brown, T. W. Goddard, L. Wilkinson and H. Verity were other bowlers t<o secure line averages.
