FRENCH ARMY LEADER A FOUR DAYS’ STAY ROUND OF ENGAGEMENTS (Official Wireless) (Received June 3, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, June 2 General Gamelin. the French Com-mander-in-Chief. will arrive in London on Tuesday on a four days’ visit, lie will be met at Victoria by three chiefs of the staff officer commanding the London district and General Le Long, of the French Embassy. On Wednesday General Gamelin, accompanied by Viscount Gort, Chief of the imperial General Staff, will visit the Royal Military College at Sandhurst

and witness the ceremonial parade. He later will visit the staff college at Minley and after a dinner at Government House, Aldershot, will attend the Aldershot Tattoo where be will take the salute. His Thursday's . engagements include a Government luncheon in London in his honour and in the evening he will be received by the Duke of Gloucester and later will be the guest at a dinner at the House of Commons. It can be stated that contrary to published reports. General Gamelin’s visit has no connection with the visit of the Turkish military experts. The Turkish mission, headed by General Kaiaziin Orbay, is coming to London regarding purchases of war material.
