WITH BRITISH SHIPPING JAPAN’S ARROGANCE WARSHIP INTERVENES (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received June 3, 12.30 p.m.) HONGKONG, June 2 The British steamer Haitan reports that Japanese, with machine guns, prevented the landing of passengers or cargo at Foochow. The intervention of the destroyer Diamond's bluejackets stopped the molestation which however, was repeated four days later at Chuenchow, for which reason the vessel returned to Hongkong.
