NEW VALUES

FORD AT THE SHOW The exhibits at the Waikato Winter Show are attracting a lot of interest and attention, and the most popular stall is that of Armstrong Motors, Ltd., of Collingwood Street, Hamilton. This well-known firm, who are agents for Ford cars and trucks and the New Mercury, are exhibiting in the main annex, just inside the first entrance from Ward Street. A novel and educating feature of this year's display is the full-sized cutaway chassis of the 1939 Ford VS. This X-ray model displays every working part in the car from the engine to the rear axle. Ail the features that have made the Ford world famous are now on view for everyone to see. The cars themselves are distinguished in their new lines of beauty—lines that accentuate length and give the cars new grace in motion. The outstanding power, speed and acceleration of the time-proved dependable V 8 engines contribute to their amazing popularity. This year Ford are marketing two new V 8 cars—the Ford V 8 and the De Luxe. These cars feature new designs, new values and new exclusive features. Both are big roomy cars, engineered for new quiet and comfort, equipped with big hydraulic brakes. With their large hydraulic shock absorbers and flexible springs these cars give genuine restful, safe riding. The interiors of these new Fords are the finest Fords ever created. Smartly panelled seats are upholstered in New Zealand-made super broadcloth, exceptionally roomy, large parcel shelf behind rear seats and harmonising fittings of modern metal makes every detail styled for good taste and good service. The most talked about car at the Show, the new Mercury is also on display at this stall. The Mercury is a big car, long and unusually wide, with exceptional room for passen/ers and luggage. Interior ■upholstery and appointments are characterised by tasteful luxury in quality and design of materials. The clean, flowing body lines of the Mercury are widely accepted as the standard of streamlined beauty in modern cars. Owners of the new Mercury will find perfect motoring peace of mind at all speeds in the secure safety of all-steel body and chassis, with the smooth stop-ability of big hydraulic brakes. Prospective new-car buyers should certainly see this new car, which represents a new name, a new car, a new value, and study its exclusive and matchless features. A particularly striking fact about the Ford Light Cars is their universality of appeal. The new 10 H.P. Prefect and the S H.P. models are the most discussed light cars at the Show. These cars offer a higher standard of comfort and refinement andi appeal to those who prefer economy with the maximum of comfort and dependability. Make the display stand of Messrs Armstrong Motors, Ltd., your first visit. There is much to interest you, so tempting are these new models. The stand is well staffed by trained representatives, who are ready at all times to demonstrate one of their models. Visitors are reminded of the cordial invitation to inspect the full range of new ears and guaranteed Used Gars at Ihe showrooms in Coliingwood street.
