HAMILTON COMPETITION TECHNICAL AND OLD BOVS MEET BOTH TEAMS ON EQUAL TERMS Added interest will be attached to the Hamilton senior hockey competition for the Killip Memorial Shield at the Claudelands Showgrounds tomorrow with Old Bojs and Old Technicals matched in the major encounter. These two teams are on equal terms on points and occupy first place in the points table. Neither has lost a game so far, and it i« certain that with them meeting for the first Ume this season the match will he hardfought throughout. Judging by the form recently displayed by the teams in the senior grade, old Technicals will he a difficult combination to beat and Old Boys to-morrow will be required to maintain a steady defence in order to contend with lhe deadly and vigorous attack of their opponents. Old Boys, although not such prolific scorers as their adversaries have proved themselves, have a fine record and with the particularly hard-working forward division they will need a good deal of watching. So far Old Technicals have scored 12 goals and have had only one registered against them-Kalpaki-Colte Encounter For realiy entertaining hockey there are few sides in the Hamilton competition which can overshadow Kaipaki. An evenly balanced and hard-working combination, Kaipaki have heeu unfortunate in losing both matches they have played. However, with tbe season hardly in lull swing, there is ample time for them to produce better form and indications are that when they meet Colts to-morrow they will register their first points. Golts have been disappointing anc will need to improve considerably if they are to make their presence felt in the senior ranks. The junior series will be continued at headquarters to-morrow and the sporting public are assured of soms fine encounters amongst the younger players. Several of the teams in the lower grade have proved themselves outstanding, and many of the players should not have to wait long before they are admitted to senior tanka. Woman’s Matches Seddon and Boyes Parke are the venues of the women's competition, and with nine teams takiog part in thie department of the game the competition is particularly interesting.
