OCEAN WAVE DEBIQNB The new vivid blues have come about through Lelong’s sea theme, as have also the Atlantlc-looking green blues. Seaweed, seashells, coral and the fronds of sea anemones are all used lor dance frocks on silk backgrounds. Ocean waves in blue and foamy white will also make some of the figured crepes for next summer’s dresses. Deep ocean blue is with coral pink to make a “sea” ensemble Tile pinafore dress has come back and Patou makes these ensembles in navy and black with detachable skirts. Tops are of floral patterned guimpe. There are a number of new taffetas as soft as satins, some with Renaissance floral motifs, others with bolder floral designs in brilliant colour*.
