YOUNG BULLS IN DEMAND
PINEDALE SHORTHORN SALE FIXTURE AT CLAUD ELANDS Youg bulls were in demand at the annual sale of the Pinedale Milking Shorthorn stud, the property of Messrs G. D. Hall and Sons, of Kio Kio, which was held at the Claudelands selling pavilion this afternoon. The fops of the male offering, which consisted chiefly of yearling bulls by the imported sire Martha Yale Cloister, sold at from 2b guineas to 64 guineas. The latter figure was paid by Mr R. p. Cochrane, of Kereone, for the yearling bull. Pinedale Senior, an outstanding sort by the Royal Show champion bull. Wabnea Senior. The host price paid for a yearling by Martha Yale Cloister was 55 guineas, this being given by Cumstonc Brothers, of Kio Kio.
The sale was conducted by the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited. Mr F. M. Harkness being in the rostrum.
