Copyright) DUBLIN, May 31 Scotland Yard is applying to the United States for the extradition of “General” Sean Russell, chief staff officer of the Irish Republican Army, who is visiting the United States to obtain moral and financial support for the Irish to “continue their fight for independence.” The United States authorities were contemplating Russell’s deportation when they received the request for his extradition, and if this is granted Russell will be tried in England.
