TROTTING MISHAPS

ONE DRIVER INJURED AUCKLAND, Wednesday Two collisions involving sever U horses and drivers, occurred at the Auckland Trotting Club's Winter Meeting yesterday. E. N. KenmirJey received a broken collarbone, but that was the only casually. He was driving Shrewdie in the Suburban Handicap when the horse fell and brought down Red Frontier and Francisco. Horses and sulkies were in a tangled mass for some minutes before they were separated. In the Manukau Handicap Excel broke, and swerved, and Silk Lady hit the sulky. Excell’s driver, A. J. Juiiau, was temporarily thrown out of the sulky and temporarily dazed, and the other driver, C. M. Morrison was caught by the foot and dragged about 100 yards. An inquiry was held, the conclusion being that the mishap was accidental.
