SUDDEN DEATH
PROMINENT AUCTIONEER MR STANLEY RALSTON WEBB The death occurred suddenly in Hamilton to-day 0 f Mr Stanley Ra'lston Webb, aged 38, one of the Waikato’s best, known stock auctioneers. He was first connected with the stock business as a member of the Auckland staff of Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons Limited with which firm he served for about 1 I years. He later joined the staff of the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company in Hamilton, and, until December of last year, when he Resigned to take up an appointment with Messrs Wright Stephenson and Company, he was head of the stud stock department. He was in the employ of the farmers’ Auctioneering Company for eleven years. A well-known figure in the rostrum at many important pedigree sales in the Waikato, he was a member of the committee of the Waikato Combined Breeders’ and Auctioneers’ Association. At the time of his death he was Auckland Provincial district auctioneer for Messrs Wright Stephenson and Company. Mr Webb had been clerk of the scales for the Waikato Racing Club and until recently had held a similar position with the Waikato Hunt Club. He was also a member of the Hamilton Orphans’ Club. Ilis wife and two young children survive him.
