POLAND’S POSITION
SUPPORT FOR ITALY REFUSAL TO JOIN AXIS ATTITUDE TO CLAIMS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received March 2, 3.15 p.m.) WARSAW, March 1 The Foreign Ollicc spokesman said Poland’s alliance with France was understood by Italy. Doubtless Poland would give moral support to the Italian colonial claims but the scope of them was not yet precise. The demands concerning Djibouti and the Suez Canal might be regarded as legitimate. Poland was not inclined to join the Rome-Berlin axis and desired to remain independent.
