IViISS C. SALISBURY HONOURED TEA TOWEL AFTERNOON Mrs D. Turnbull was hostess at a delightful afternoon, held at her home, Tainaliere, recently, in honour of Miss Cathie Salisbury, who is shortly to be married. A happy tint/* was spent and during the afternoon ice cream sundaes end iced drinks were served in the garden. The guests brought gifts of tea-towels. Those present were: Mesdames D. Turnbull, T. Atkins, R. Bee, G. V. Knapp, L. O. Blackwood, A. Robinson, A. Hood, L. Buick and J. Flay; Misses J. and F. Salisbury, D. Hood, K. ePters, E. Simpson, c. Pollard, J. and R. Polgla.se, B. Gadd, L. Smith, N. Butt, M. Robertson, G. Redman, M. Hepburn and M. Milner (Wellington). Pantry Gifts Miss Cathie Salisbury was the guest-of-honour recently when Mrs T. Atkins entertained a number of friends at a “pantry” afternoon at her home. Dames and competitions were played on Hie lawn and (lie bride-elect was lire recipient of many gift parcels. Those present were: Mesdames D. Turnbull, T. Atkins, R. Bee, C. V. Knapp, L. u. Blackwood, A. Robinson, A. Rood, L. Buick, and .1. Flay; Misses J. and F. Salisbury, p. Hood, E. Peters, E. Simpson, G. Pollard, J. and R. Pulgiase, B. Gadd, L. Smith, N. Butt, M. Robertson, G. Redman, M. Hepburn, and M. Milner (Wellington). Towel Evening Miss C. Salisbury was again honoured, when Mrs W. Mcßride was hostess at a “towel” evening at her home at Te Kowhai recently. An enjoyable evening was spent with items, games and competitions. Recitations by Miss V. Nicholas were much appreciated, after which a delicious supper was served. Miss Salisbury was the recipient of good wishes and many beautiful towels. Little Jeannine Mcßride presented the guest-of-honour with a bouquet. Among those present were: Mesdames W. Mcßride, J. Salisbury, M. Polgluse, L. Blackwood, Weatherley, T. Atkins and R. Bee: Misses u. Redman. J. and F. Salisbury, J*. and H. Holglase, D. Hood, M. Hepburn, M. Milner, Y. Nicholas, M. Stores. \ and J. Mcßride.
