GARDEN PARTY
HOROTIU ANGLICAN CHURCH Although the brilliant sunshine of the last few.days was not so much in evidence on Saturday, the weather afforded pleasant conditions, when Mrs G. Rogers held a garden party at her residence, Horotiu. Various outdoor games with several competitions were arranged and proved popular. A “bring and buy’’ stall was arranged and decorated in Japanese fashion. The winners in the parade of children’s decorated prams were Joyce Washer and Gay l.oulsen. Competitions were won bv Mrs Hyde. Miss Alice Holdcroft, Mrs Jacobs, Miss Saulbrey and Mrs Saulbrey. Mrs G. 'Rogers, the hostess, was wearing a henna frock with accessories to match. Among those present were Mesdames Jacobs, J. Stow, G. Jamieson, W. Martin, J. Knight, J. Washer, W. Thomson, E. Hall, W. Hyde. J. Spence, W. Pa Hard, Loulsen, Saulbrey (Xgaruawahiai. Holdcroft. Griffith* Misses Leila Speedy. Yal Hall.
