YUGOSLAV WEDDING
RADALY —PAVLINAVICH A pretty and unusual Sunday wedj ding was solemnised in St. Joseph’s Church, Morrinsville, on February 10. The bride, who recently arrived in New Zealand, was Miss Mere Pavlinavich, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs D. Pavlinavich, of Podgora, Yugoslavia and niece of Mr and Mrs V. Mercp. of Te Aroha. The bridegroom, Mr Michael lladaly, of Morrinsville, is the only son of Mr and Mrs Peter Radaly, of Ylaka, Yugoslavia. The Rev. Father O'Doherty officiated and Miss M. Strevens was organist. The church had been beautifully decorated by the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Convent with masses of pink lilies and gladioli. The bride, who was given away by her cousin, Mr Emil Milicich, ofTatuanui, wore a becoming gown of Chantilly lacc. The tight-fitting bodice and long sleeves were trimmed with satin and there was a satin girdle at the waistline, from which the skirt fell to form a long train. Iler veil of tulle, which was worn over the face on entering the church was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom and fell to form a second train. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and white gladioli with maidenhair fern and asparagus. The matron-of-honour. Mrs M. Nola, of Tatuanui, a friend of the bride's family, wore a model frock of jade green romaine, with a tight-litting bodice ornamented with flowers embroidered in contrasting shades at the neckline and buttons of the same material down the back to the waistline. The sleeves were fully puffed and a wide sash of the same material fell down the back. A short veil of pink tulle fell from a coronet of flowers, and she carried a bouquet of pink dahlias, gladioli and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Mladi Jelaca, o-f Morrins\J lie, wore a white satin frock fashioned in Empire style, with Peter Pan collar, white satin buttons down the front and short puff sleeves. The bodice and sleeves were trimmed with bands of ruching. Her short veil of white tulle was caught with a coronet of flowers and she carried a bouquet of pink gladioli, white dahlias, maidenhair fern and asparagus. Little xDesmond Nola, of Tatuanui, was page boy and wore a white satin Russian blouse with Peter Pan collar, black velvet waistcoat and long black velvet trousers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr M. Nola, of Tatuanui, as best man, and by Mr George Pivac, of Matamata, as groomsman. Mrs M. Milicich, of Tatuanui, who acted for Hie bride’s mother, was t wearing a floral crepe frock in shades of blue and grey, with a hat to tone, and she carried a posy of flowers in brown autumn tonings. Mr Totieh, Hip Yugn-Slav consul at Auckland, attended the ceremony. When Mr and Mrs M. Radaly left on their honeymoon, which was spent in Auckland, ihe bride was wearing a mauve and white silk frock and white I hat and shoes and accessories. Thej will make their home in Morrinsville.
