CAMBRIDGE CLUB EXTENSIVE IMPROVEMENTS MADE RECORD GREEN PEES TOTAL ('Special to Times) CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday. As Indicated in the annual report to be presented at a meeting- of the Cambridge Golf Club this week, the club has had a most successful year. At the beginning of the period the club had difficulties to face. It had to purchase a mower at a cost of £2-0 0. and erect a building to house, machinery. I.ater a new lawnmower was bought. The result, of new plant was the splendid condition or the links. In this respect great credit was due to the superintendent.. .Mr R. Ireland, and the greenkeeper. Mr \y. Rush. The club’s membership is OS men. ?•’. women. 17 country, 18 .junior and two honorary, a total or 202. which is a slight increase on the previous year. Championship Winners The balance-sheet showed the financial position as quite healthy. Green Tees reached the record total or £7S 4s. The winners of the club championships were: Women’s senior, Mrs K. 8. Browne; women's juniior, Mrs I. Fairbrother: men’s senior, D. McCathie; men’s junior, A. ClayAt the close of the season the club decided upon several major improvements, the chief being to accept the generous oiler made by Mr V.
