EXCITEMENT IN SYDNEY FOOTBALLER TACKLES THIEF SEVERE THRASHING GIVEN (United Press As6n.—Elec. Tel. Copyright' SYDNEY, Feb. 27 An exciting incident in the city this afternoon ended in a street thief being tackled by a Rugby League player, Jack Dorman,, and captured. The thief snatched a bag containing £245 from an official of a Rugby League club, who was about to bank it. Mr Dorman and another men went in pursuit and finally brought the thief down with a solid tackle. The thief showed fight, but Mr Dorman, who was the better man, administered a severe thrashing, and sat on him until the police arrived.
