TWO MINES IDLE

PUKEMIRO AND RENOWN OTHER COLLIERIES UNAFFECTED (Special to Times) HUNTLY', Monday Pukemiro and Renown mines are idle to-day. This morning a stopwork meeting of men was held at Pukemiro to discuss payment for work done in wet places and other matters in dispute and the men, it is understood, decided not to resume work until news had been received of the decisions reached at the conference between miners’ and employers’ representatives, being held in Auckland today. There was also a meeting at the Renown mine this morning to discuss the position at Pukemiro mine. The meeting at the Renown continued after the time for starting work and no work was done -to-day. The Rotowaro. Glen Afton and McDonald mines are, however, all working. <
