ODDFELLOWS’ LODGE
ANNUAL MEETING HELD ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Hamilton Lodge of the Manchester Unity Oddfellows was- held in the lodge room last evening, Mr J. W. Bely presiding over a large number of members and visitors from adjacent lodges. The report and balance sheet, which were adopted, showed the lodge to be in a sound position. The number of full benefit members at the close of the year was 4.3 2, of whom m2 were male members. During the year the following amounts were disbursed: Pick pay, £528 18s -id; funeral allowances, £57; medical officers, £707 18s fid; dispensary (for medicine), £2 14 ss; distress benefit, £8 i2s 2d; hospital. £361 4s. The election of officers resulted as follows: Delegates (o Auckland District Conference, Messrs T. W. Thompson. J. Cark and N. Warner; Hamiton Dispensary Board, Messrs T. Thompson, J. Clark, and N. Warner; Management Committee, Messrs H. A. Laing, ,1. Clark, and W. Boocock. A dance committee was also elected Tlie secretary, Mr T. W. Thompson, reported that arrangements had been finalised to run a [rain to Ngaruawahia on March 5 on the occasion of the picnic of the combined Manchester Unity Lodges of Hamilton. Visits would be paid to the Te Awamutu and Morrinsville lodges next week. Several presentations were made to lodge members in view of their marriages.
