Regarding Canton Island, said Mr MacDonald, American and British officials were at present resident there in pursuance of the agreement that Britain and America should hold the island in joint trust for a period of years. Discussions were proceeding concerning details of the administration and the carrying out of the trust. Mr Arthur Henderson Labour) hoped New Zealand was being included in the negotiations.
