TAR-SEALED HIGHWAYS
PUTARURU IMPROVEMENTS (Special to Times) PUTARURU. Thursday. The tar-sealing or the main highways in the Putaruru town district has been start ed. The Town Board has arranged with the Matamata County Council for the work to be carried out alonsr with the mam county re-sealing contrary, thus enabling it tc be done at less cost. Patching has been carried out on the Taupo Road from the town district bound ary at the Oraka stream to the overhead i bridge under construction and from Main street to the boundary on the Arapuni Hoad The board is receiving the Mam Highways_Board subsidy of t% to ft. and ns share or the expenditure for the current financial year will be £l6O.
