They weighed their goods before bak;ng but found that they lost weight while cooking, so in order to be on the safe side they gave 13 loaves instead of 12. * * • • That the greatest ocean dept yet sounded is in the Pacific Ocean? It is one of the profoundest ocean pits produced by the mighty undersea mountain ranges. This one is 32.088 feet, or about six miles: deeper by half-a-mile than the highest mountain on earth —Mt. Everest —is high. That the size of ocean waves has been ascertained by German high sea exploration? They have discovered that some of the waves proved to be nearly 100 feet high. That a tooth-brushing machine has been invented in America? It cleans and polishes the teeth and is driven bv a tiny electric motor which is held iff the hand. The brush is removable so that for each member of the family a separate brush can be used.
