PETER PAN’S LETTER

H dear girls and boys, Such bright, sunny days we have been having this last week, XX haven’t we ? And P6ter and the Circle People have been having such ♦♦ jolly times in their gardens or going for evening strolls with Scamp it skipping behind, and having such fun scratching for bones In as many (gardens as he can find. There are so many lovely gardens to be seen too and everywhere Peter has looked there have been little people helping their mummies or daddies to mow the lawns, and trim, the hedges or carrying large watering-cans to refresh the flowers. Jenne and Tony are very busy designing new gardens too, but the Sunshine Girl says that they seem to bo very muddled so far. As for the pets, they have been very busy this last week for, as Some-one told Peter, it was really lovely to have several long summer days In suocesslon. This week Peter saw some lovely gardens too. Firstly there were tall sunflowers, with deep golden petals and large brown hearts nodding against a brick wall and not far away a long avenue of pink ?| and gold hollyhocks were whispering together and looking, for all the *% like old-fashlcned ladles. Then there was a circular bed of golden pansies whose cheeky little faces made such a pleasing picture In the midst of emerald green lawns. Red-hot pokers seem to be f| blooming in profusion for everywhere Peter goes he can see the deep flame and gold petals gleaming In the sun. Then there was a clump g of Jersey Lilies In bloom In Peter’s garden and such a lovely sight they made too with tiny drops of dew gleaming on their flame petals ;S In the early morning sun. it Asters In the loveliest shades of pink, mauve and white are burstIlng Into bloom and Peter loves these delicate looking flowers very much, while zinnias seem to be stlffer and more colourful than ever. And now lots of love to the big ones, the little ones and those Inbetween. From yours, Search lng-for-more-gay-gacdens, imsntiittttttmittamjm . xtmtttttntxvst
