PROPOSED CONFERENCE IN WELLINGTON SHORTLY (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Friday The proposed conference at which all phases of waterfront work in New Zealand is to be discussed will open, according to tentative arrangements, in Wellington on Thursday week. In making this announcement today the Hon. P. C. Webb. Minister ot Labour, said he had arranged for the Under-Secretary of Labour to contact the shipping companies, waterside labour organisations and all other parties vitally interested. He added that if other conferences were necessary later, they would be held.
