POULTRY, BUTTER AND EGGS THE AUCKLAND MARKETS AUCKLAND, Saturday With heavy supplies of poultry, the prices for hens at the city markets remained about the same, and cock-*, erels and drakes met with a very poor demand. There was no change in the prices for eggs. Increased supplies of flowers were marketed owing to the spell of warm weather and there was a slight fall in prices. Values were:—Poultry: Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 3s 6d to 4s 6d i each; not prime, Is 9d up; light breed, prime, ds 3d to 2s 6d; not prime, ds 6d up; fat roosters, heavy breeds, prime, 2s 3d to 3s 3d; light breeds, 1 s 9d to 2s 9d; fat hens, heavy breeds, 2s 3d to 3s Cd; light breeds, Is Cd to 2s Cd; laying hens, heavy breeds, 2s 9d to 3s 9d; light breeds, ds 9d to 2s 6d; pullets, heavy breeds, best. 5s to 7s; smaller, 2s up; light breeds, best, 4s 6d to Gs; smaller, ds 9d up; drakes, young, prime, is Cd to 2s Cd; smaller, ds up; old, ds 6d to 2s 6d; ducks, young, is to ss; old, ds 6d to 2s Gd; geese, 3s to ss; turkey bens, 5s to 7s; gobblers, iOs to dss.
