MORE HERD-TESTING
GRANT OF 4a A COW WANTED (Times Special -Reporter) MORRINSVILLE, Thursday “In view* of the recognised benefits accruing to the Government and to the dairy industry through the more general ■ and consistent adoption of herd-testing the Government and the Dairy Board will he asked to provide in equal proportion a permanent annual grant of 2s for each row tested through the licensed testing organisations,” said Mr A. J. Murdoch, representative of the No. 1 Ward of the Dairy Board in outlining a motion to be discussed at the Dairy Conference in April. This recommendation was principally for the purposes of encouraging the adoption of testing so that the ' organisation could be urged to the fullest possible extent for the advantage of the Dominion and the industry as a whole, and lo provide for the reorganisation of the existing herdtesting associations.
