SCHEME TO BE SHELVED PLANS FOR EXTENSION FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S DECISION (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Feb. 23, 1.30 p.m,) CANBERRA, Feb. 23 It Is revealed that the Federal Cabinet last week reached a tacit decision to shelve the national insurance scheme meanwhile.
It is understood that the objections to certain features of the scheme will be reviewed and plans prepared for its extension, in anticipation of its operation later.
