t - OTOROHANGA TEACHER-DRIVERS MR BOWYER’S STATEMENT (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Thursday Supporting statements he had made 1 previously and to which exception had been taken by the head teacher and other teacher-drivers of the Otoror hanga High School, Mr W. I. Bovvyer, of Otorohanga, made a report to the Education Board yesterday. I, Referring to statements that “par- ! ents and the public have the right to know the exact, truth.” and that “during the time from June, 1936, the total cost of repairs to all the buses through _ minor collisions was only £2 10s Id.” s Mr Bowyer outlined an incident last p year in which the department, had had v to pay £3O and an amount for repairs I to the scliol bus involved to keep the , out o?*>urt. Mr Bowyer asked z why. as Hie teacher-drivers stressed t the necessity for the exact truth, they p did not mention this incident when re- - ferring to the cost of collisions.
